Contemptor is done, along with a librarian kitbash put together. After much searching I couldn't find a sword I liked so went with a spear. I'll call it a force sword or staff depending on what I run him with.

Update for Legio XIII

More for the 13th!

Another very slight conversion here... Primus Medicae Brutus Petroclus (Credit to Chris for the name). He will also function as a standard apoth when needed.

Next on the list is a so far unnamed (If you haven't gathered I am terrible with names) Knight Castigator of House Vornherr.  Knights will serve as the Super Heavy wing of Ultramarines, House Vornherr was pledged to the service of Lord Guilliman and sent a majority of it's household Scions to fight at Calth.

What's the consensus for point totals. 7500 per side or 6000? I feel like any smaller than 2k per army is really limiting in 30k.

Ultras Update -- It's possible to hate a model...

So, this is the 2nd time I have put one of these together, I have never gotten more glue on my fingers or had to adjust and tweak so much during assembly. Fuck This Model.... last time I get one of these bastards.

This guy on the other hand was a lot of fun, $10 and a few conversion bits helped me turn Ortan Cassius into a MK4 Artificer Armored Praetor with Paragon Blade and Archaeotech Pistol.

Raven Update #8

Update III - eleven thousand sons

Finished a batch of marines.  It took approximately 10 hours though, which I need to work on getting down. They are acceptable. I'll have to go through them and bring up the red, was hoping I could get away without doing it but they came out looking a little cranberry after the wash.

Last but not least, 3 Apothecaries and a Master of Signal... one of the Apothecaries is a little sick and seems to have lost his head, but he will find a new one soon enough!

Birthday Legion Battle

There is an annual tradition where we play a huge 30k game on the weekend of my birthday. This year would be May 7th. Kevin and Tim I hope you can make that.

Ideally we would play Loyalists vs Traitors. 2000-2500 pts per player. Let's try for fully painted forces!

Lancer progress

Following a method from Battle Bunnies to paint this knight. So far it looks pretty cool.

First I sprayed the model with platemail primer from Army Painter. Then I put a zenithal coat of a metallic silver spray over the top, side to side.

Once that had some time to dry, I started washing the entire model with a blend of Nuln Oil, Seraphim Sepia, Lahmian Medium and water. I allowed each coat of wash to completely dry before painting the next. Three coats is what you see below.

Update -- The XIIIth

Took a couple days off from playing The Division and got these chaps taken care of.

All fully magnetized with matching polarity, so any weapon can go on any body!

Fists update

My weekly update is just some assembly but these were not easy. They don't tell you that you need despoiler marines for these so I had to convert tacticals. I also converted a legion commander to run a Solarite gauntlet and used his helmet for Sigismund.

Update II - The T-son Tree (patent pending)

I was trying to think of some way to secure my marines off the bases for painting. I'll see how it works out, just a styrofoam cone with some tape on it. Got one seargent and the dreadnought put together.
